Product designer (UX/UI)

ondiq is a software company founded in 2019 in Kinshasa. We build youplo, the online store for creators, and savoira, the platform for learning tech skills.

We are looking for a product designer to shape the interfaces of youplo and savoira, from early flows to the screens our users work with every day.

The role covers research, flows, wireframes and high-fidelity design, along with the design system both products share.

Education

• Two or three years of higher education in product design, interaction design or a related field.

Experience

• At least 2 years designing digital products.
• Features shipped together with an engineering team.

Technical skills

• Excellent command of Figma: components, variants, prototyping.
• User flows, wireframes and high-fidelity design.
• Building and documenting a design system.
• Accessibility basics: contrast, hierarchy, keyboard use.
• Usability testing and user interviews.
• Understanding of front-end constraints.

Personal qualities

• Able to explain and defend a design decision.
• Open to feedback.

• Design flows and screens for new and existing features.
• Run usability sessions and turn what you learn into decisions.
• Produce wireframes, prototypes and final designs.
• Evolve the design system.
• Work with engineers during implementation and review what ships.
• Document design decisions.
• Agree goals and timelines with product and marketing.
