Video editor

ondiq is a software company founded in 2019 in Kinshasa. We build youplo, the online store for creators, and savoira, the platform for learning tech skills.

We are looking for an experienced video editor to produce our videos: marketing, product announcements, ads, short social formats, tutorials and internal material.

Most of the job is editing fast and well, with a consistent look from one video to the next, adding titles and simple animation where needed. You will also shoot usable footage from time to time (framing, camera work).

Education

• Two or three years of higher education in audiovisual production, multimedia, digital communication or a related field.

Experience

• At least 2 years of professional video editing.
• Commercial or marketing videos in your portfolio.

Technical skills

• Excellent command of Premiere Pro.
• Working knowledge of After Effects for motion design.
• Solid basics in framing and camera work.
• Sound work: EQ, clean-up, simple mixing.
• Adapting one piece of content to each social format.
• A sense of pacing and storytelling.
• Basic graphic design.

• Able to run several projects at once on your own.

• Understands a communication goal and proposes a visual answer.

• Edit videos from scripts, rushes and creative direction.
• Cut each video for its channels: social media, web, campaigns, internal communication.
• Handle finishing: sound, audio clean-up, transitions, titles, basic colour grading.
• Add subtitles, titles and graphics, and animate where needed.
• Shoot footage for internal needs from time to time.
• Keep project files, versions, exports and archives in order.
• Work with the communication and product teams and deliver on time.
